The Boeing Company is seeking a virtual Associate Simulation Software Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO. This position will be a developmental role on a team that develops simulation software that integrates with test assets (desktop and real hardware). This simulation supports many different platforms (F-15, F/A-18, T-7A, MQ-25, 737, 777X, and others). The successful candidate will coordinate with commercial, defense, and other customers for requirements. The candidate will participate in small developmental teams to implement those requirements. Agile methodologies such as sprint planning, scrums, retrospectives, and demonstrations are expected. The candidate should enjoy working collaboratively with others, has a commitment to customer satisfaction and process improvement, and is successful working in a multi-program environment. They will support the development of solutions to a wide range of complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. They should be adaptable to new development environments and eager to work with and learn new technologies. This position may require up to 10% travel. Position Responsibilities: -
Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems -
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system -
Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met -
Supports software project management and software supplier management functions -
Performs software research and trade studies -
Troubleshoots software issues -
Works under general supervision This position is virtual. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): -
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science -
2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience -
1+ years of experience in software programming with C, C++, C#, .NET coding, debug, and development Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): |
