Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking Senior Hardware Systems Engineers to join the Fighters Mission Systems Navigation, Data Link, Helmet & Advanced Displays team located in St. Louis, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.The Navigation, Data Link, and Displays team works with suppliers, programs, and customers to develop, qualify, test, and deliver hardware and software in support of the Boeing Fighters platforms (F-15 & F/A-18). The team also provides expert technical assistance to government customers on the integration of government developed and/or purchased (GFE) communication systems onto both the F-15 and F/A-18 aircraft. The Navigation, Data Link, and Displays team is currently engaged in a number of exciting and high-profile development projects for both the F-15 platform (both USAF and foreign customers) as well as the F/A-18. These efforts are key to many of our customers achieving their operational goals. The team needs several experienced engineers with relevant experience in one or more of these areas to support hardware development and qualification to support both the F-15 and F/A-18 platforms.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Leading the engineering design, development, and analysis of commodities assigned to ensure seamless integration into higher level systems and platforms.
- Consultation in the design, development, integration, test, and operational capability of various USAF, USN, and international programs.
- Development, validation, and verification of requirements.
- Overseeing the definition and execution of critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.
- Leadership in technical management of appropriate aspects of critical supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use.
- Candidate will be expected to act as a mentor to less senior/experienced team members.
- Both domestic and international travel is expected as a part of this role.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Lead and Senior Hardware Systems Engineers.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, geology, physics, computer science or mathematics
