Job DescriptionOur Endocrinology clinic at the plaza is seeking a LPN to join their team!The Schedule:This is a Monday through Friday day shift position.The Work:LPN will assist with patient phone calls, procedures, rooming, and various administrative tasks as needed (ex: prior auths, RX refills, etc).You will be working with a variety of providers and their patients, working in a blended role.Provides phone triage, assisting with rooming patients, downloading blood glucose meters and pumps, and educating patients on injectable medicines and glucose meters.Because you will not be assigned to one provider, the ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to different provider preferences.We are looking for a strong team player who is wiling to jump in and help when they see a need.Previous experience with blood glucose meters and pumps is preferred but not required.Provides support for assigned providers.Completes patient care, patient education, prior authorizations, in basket messages,, prescription refills, and other duties as assigned.Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient careSchedules emergent need patient appointmentsIdentifies learning needs for patients and families, provides advice and recommendations, and inserts intravenous access with medication administration.Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of PracticeEnters admission orders as directed by providerManages expired samples.May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties or other office duties as neededThe ideal candidate will be highly organized, task oriented, resourceful, and possess strong communication skills.Why Saint Lukes?Our leadership supports nurse engagement and allows their voices to be heard.We value our nurses knowledge, experience, and expertise to improve patient outcomes and quality care.The opportunity to make an impact on their unit, hospital, health system, and the healthcare industry.Strong nurse governance and we encourage all of our RNs to participateVarious CEU, Continuing Education, Leadership and other career training availableCareer Advancement Program dedicated to RNs.Saint Lukes offers competitive salaries and benefits packages to all of their employees, click here to find out more.Job RequirementsApplicable Experience:Less than 1 yearBasic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Licensed Practical Nurse - VariousJob DetailsFull TimeDay (United States of America)The best place to get care.
