As a Stationary Engineer, you'll be responsible for the operation and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems at Checkerboard Square using trade skills required of a Class I Stationary Engineer. - - Primarily monitor and operate boilers, as well as other mechanical systems, including chillers, pumps, generators, and HVAC equipment
- Adjust equipment settings to maintain proper temperature, pressure, and other conditions
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and prepare work orders for necessary repairs or replacements
- Monitor and test safety devices, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
- Respond promptly to equipment failures or emergencies, taking appropriate action to minimize damage and ensure safety
- Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and energy consumption
Requirements - High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Environmental Protection Agency approved refrigerant certification (Universal)
- City of St. Louis Class 1 Stationary Engineers License
- 1+ years of experience in a commercial or industrial work environment
- 1+ years of experience working with single & three phase electricity and power distribution systems up to 480 volts
