During the startup of the new facility, they will be a part of a team responsible for equipment selection/placement, training, and hiring of the maintenance workforce. After the plant startup, the goal will be to provide direction to the maintenance team in maintenance of production equipment in a manner that ensures employee safety, product safety, and quality and compliance to production schedules. This position will also manage all maintenance costs for the plant. Responsibilities:Overall owner of maintenance KPI sCoordinates the development of RCA s and action plans to solve problems and make improvementsAssist the Business Development & Engineering team in establishing and executing capital budgetsEnsure team member safety through training and completion/tracking of safety work ordersEnsure food safety & quality as it relates to plant maintenance activities and programsResponsible for plant schedule attainment as it relates to plant maintenance activities and programsDeliver cost KPI s including MRO inventory & plant maintenance costsOversee measurement, tracking and planning for safety, quality, repair and preventative maintenance programs Set the maintenance culture for the plant and uphold Swift valuesWork closely with the plant manager and maintenance directorMonitor and analyze maintenance down time to improve production up time as efficiently as possibleManage, develop and maintain programs for hiring, training & professional development for the maintenance teamManage, develop and maintain vendor support to ensure the most cost-effective solutionsMake recommendations to the leadership team to improve the maintenance functionQualifications:Bachelor s degree, preferably in engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years maintenance experience with a consumer-packaged goods food plant3+ years of maintenance management experienceExperience with repair and maintenance of food manufacturing equipment, specifically sliced meat processingExperience with ammonia refrigeration systems and PSM programsPC / software skills including CAD.Physical Demands/Work Environment:Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear. Office and plant setting: the plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold (non-weather related), and working near moving mechanical partsNoise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
