Our client is currently seeking a Sr Controls Engineer opening in Chicago to oversee multiple locations in the food industry. Great Opportunity with great benefits and pay!Responsibilities:Maintain and oversee all plant and production electrical and control systems, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and network sub-systems.Install, program, and maintain various Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems and related automation solutions.Supervise control technicians across three facilities.Assist in the modification and installation of control systems, following the Change Control process.Support and maintain control networks, web servers, data historian, and operator interface systems.Develop controls concepts, program design, coding, and instrumentation selection.Train and support non-technical users on the use of plant floor automation systems.Participate in capital projects and collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor & Manager on project scheduling.Prepare documentation, including job aids, user documentation, systems documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials for plant automation systems.Act as a technical resource for control-related issues, troubleshooting, and recommending corrective actions.Experience with FactoryTalk View and software ladder logics.Ability to upgrade obsolete PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.Qualifications/Requirements:Engineering Degree or Controls/PLC/Electrical EducationProficiency in PLC programming on multiple platforms, including RS Logix, Studio 5000, RS Linx, CompactLogix, and FactoryTalk View programming.Knowledge of servo drives, motor controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and power distributionCompliance with company Allergen, Food Defense, and HACCP policies.Regular and predictable attendance.Strong mechanical and safety aptitude.Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)Strong troubleshooting skills using a laptop for PLC, VFD, and HMI operations.Ability to read and interpret schematics, including P&ID, electrical single-line drawings, and more.Experience with FactoryTalk View and software ladder logics.Ability to upgrade obsolete PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.If interested please apply below or send a updated resume to SGoudy judge.comhttps://www.judge.com/jobs/details/1010137/UI 1010137 More...
