Responsibilities The Department of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking applications for a faculty radiation oncologist with a career interest and expertise in hematologic malignancies. The successful applicant will join a faculty of 40 radiation oncologists in Minnesota and partner with 6 hematologic radiation oncologists across the enterprise to advance care for patients with hematologic malignancies. The hematology, nuclear medicine, dermatology, and hematologic pathology departments are home to world-renowned experts and Mayo Clinic has a rich history at the forefront of scientific advancement for hematologic malignancies. The Mayo Clinic Department of Radiation Oncology in Rochester, Minnesota is a destination center for innovation and excellence in complex patient care. The department is home to a diverse array of treatment modalities including next generation accelerators and construction is underway on a second proton therapy center. The department has fully accredited residency programs in radiation oncology and medical physics. Research is supported by both an in-house infrastructure of 12 research personnel in addition to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, an NCI designated cancer center that receives over $100 million in competitive peer-review grants annually. This robust infrastructure supports investigator-initiated trials, cooperative group leadership, and translational research. Mayo Clinic was ranked the No. 1 hospital overall in the U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals for the last 7 years, the #3 best large employer in US by Forbes in 2023, and is undergoing a transformational five-billion dollar infrastructure investment.
