As an Electrical Engineer, you will: - Develop detailed design and integration of electrical/electronic systems, sub-systems and components
- Conduct and support subsystem and system integration and verification activities, manufacturing and test planning, and failure analysis
- Support validation and verification activities at component, sub-system, and system test events
- Conduct Systems Engineering activities including requirements definition and electrical architecture development
- Research, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic and electrical systems
- Perform complex calculations and develop complex engineering models and representations
- Prepare and approve engineering drawings
- Conduct or lead portions of requirements development, architecture development, interface management, verification, and validation
- Work with stakeholders to ensure products meet cost, schedule, performance and quality requirements
- Contribute to internal and external technical reviews
- Use advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures
- Evaluate vendor capabilities, technologies, services and ability to deliver required products or services
- Recommend design approaches for new or improved products and processes
- Provide engineering consultation to other technical groups
- Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications and product requirementsRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and 2+ years relevant experience or Master's degree
- We may consider candidates with less experience for a more junior role or more experience for a more senior role
- Experience creating, reading, and understanding schematics and technical data sheets or hook-up drawings
- Ability to create and manage interface control documents
- Ability to solve technical problems
- Organizational skills to successfully manage the release of drawings, author engineering orders, and track changes
- Ability to operate in cross-functional engineering tasks (electrical, mechanical, systems)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey data, information, and technical results to customers
- Leadership abilities and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to military test sites to support testingPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
