McLaren operates Michigans largest network of cancer centers and providers, anchored by the Karmanos Cancer Institute, one of only 51 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the U.S. *CT Technologist**Michigan, Detroit* **Full and Part time positions available*** 23004711 Requisition #** In accordance with established professional and departmental standards and procedures, performs computerized axial tomography procedures on adult patients under the guidance of a radiologist.** *Responsbilities:*** * Technical knowledge of various diagnostic imaging procedures. * Demonstrates proficiency in the utilization of all aspects of the departments radiology information system. * Accurately interprets and follows physicians scanning instructions and prescription. * Uses independent judgment and necessary skills in order to obtain high quality CT images. * Educates patient on the entire process that the patient will undergo for CT procedure. * Successful completion from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program with ARRT Certification. * Certification in CT is highly preferred. Certification in CT through the ARRT is mandatory within one year from date of hire. * Minimum 2 years as experienced CT Technologist, preferably with Philips experience. * 3D Imaging experience highly preferred. * Current Certification in Basic Life Support. * Venipuncture and Contrast Administration Validation within one month of hire date. * Ability to work as a contributing member of a highly functioning, cooperative and efficient team. * Excellent communication skills. * Ability to work independently.
