As a cook at Portage Pointe, you will take great pride in providing nourishing, high quality food to our Elders. You will have a significant impact on the quality of care delivered, as well as perform a variety of preparation, distribution, and sanitation functions in support of assigned areas.Position Skills:
--- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
--- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
--- Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
--- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and externalPosition Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
2 Years Food Service Experience Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required (Available Upon Hire)
ServeSafe Certification Required or Obtained Within 6 Months of Hire
Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination RequiredPosition Details:
0.8-1.0 FTE (32 to 40 hours per week) -
Variable Day/Evening Shift s
