There's a seat at our table for you...Gordon Food Service is hiring an Promotional Merchandise and Inventory Coordinator. This candidate manages the ordering, marketing and selling of company promotional merchandise. Assists with company events and employee recognition programs related to Gordon Food Service branded merchandise. Applies sound supply-chain management via efficient fulfillment program, ensuring accurate and timely shipping and receiving. Provides administrative support to the Office Services department.Responsibilities:Product Category Oversight - GFS branded merchandise, Paper & Supplies - Assists with the selection of employee program product vendors in collaboration with the appropriate personnel by evaluating selection, quality control, and budgeting requirements.
- Assists with the selection of appropriate items for the programs.
- Maintains knowledge of current products to ensure program offerings are appropriate.
- Sets prices for merchandise and determines when to discount or mark items down.
- Track product sales and monitor inventory levels.
- Coordinates with Canada for branded merchandise selection and ordering. Inventory and Fulfillment
- Updates, maintains, and enters products and user information in the fulfillment software system.
- Fills advance ship notices. Works with ordering area owners for replenishment of fulfillment items and tracking deliveries.
- Receives and processes invoices as needed, entering billing data for allocation of supplies ordered in the fulfillment system.
- Compiles and submits regular reports of damage, outdated stock or supplies utilizing a manual or automated inventory control system. Other Activities
- Responsible for the GFS Gordon Gear store at the Grand Rapids annual celebration event. Coordinates inventory for all other US division and Canada annual celebration stores.
- Provides administrative support to the Office Services department including directing and leading fulfillment duties and performing such individual assignments as management may direct.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the organization and with vendors. May attend vendor trend shows.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to use powered industrial vehicles, including Hi-Lo.
- Competent knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, email and internet software
- Maintains product knowledge.
- Excellent written, verbal communications skills
- Organization and multitasking skills and ability to problem solve
- Customer service and time management
- Able to work independently and with teams
- Must be a team player, have collaborative work relationships, and demonstrate leadership skills.
