There's a seat at our table for you...Gordon Food Service is hiring an Global Vendor Compliance Specialist. This candidate will assist the Vendor Compliance Manager by gathering, recording and analyzing data relevant to suppliers' compliance with North American Imports and Commodities Group (NAICG) expectations. Develops, approves and manages vendors regarding compliance to all packaging standards of NAICG . This role also oversees the timely response to all customer complaints received and follows up with suppliers regarding complaints as needed. Maintains up-to-date records of approved NAICG suppliers. In addition, this role provides support for the Global Procurement Team.Responsibilities: - Develops, maintains and revises product specifications. Tracks and evaluates finished products to confirm compliance to specifications.
- Conducts product sampling, inspection and testing to ensure product meets all NAICG specifications.
- Maintains Vendor Compliance Log and other tools to ensure vendor files are complete and up to date. Follow up with suppliers as needed for updated documents such as audit or kosher certificates.
- Manages all packaging files, including soliciting required information from suppliers and providing information to internal customers during art development.
- Reviews and approves product labels and proofs to assure compliance with NAICG, customer requirements, and brand standards.
- Maintains regulatory and packaging standards and ensures compliance.
- Promptly respond to quality complaints from customers and forwards on to buyers and Vendor Compliance Manager as needed. Conduct analysis of consumer complaints and any other product data to identify food safety and product quality trends.
- Reviews and approves vendor-submitted inspection documents as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Ideal candidates should have:
- Ability to quickly learn new proprietary business and reporting systems.
- Maintains knowledge of changes in the industry and packaging compliance in the countries where NAICG conducts business.
- Demonstration of a high level of detail management and follow through.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Reasoning - comparing, classifying, innovating, analyzing, coordinating, copying, etc.
- Self Management - self direction, distraction, repetition, prioritization, fluctuations in workload, ambiguity, etc.Experience:
- High School / Equivalent required
- Bachelor degree preferred Business Management, Quality Management or related fields
- Three years data analysis experience. Quality Assurance experience is a plus. Strong project management skills.Location:
