The establishment of good working partnerships is our highest priority. **Direct Hire Position** **2nd Shift** Senior CNC Machinist Reports to Production Supervisor Classification: Hourly non-exempt Remote Work Status: Does not apply Job Summary: The Senior CNC Machinist is responsible for all aspects of the CNC machines to include setup, monitoring, offsets & adjustments and cutting tool changes. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties & Responsibilities: - Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
- Completes inspection documentation, and daily operator maintenance sheets.
- Makes offsets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
- Monitors and changes cutting tools (inserts) as needed.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
- Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
- Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Completes all required training.
- Flexible, courteous, friendly and positive approach to work
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities: - Ability to train/coach operators on procedure & process
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls (18i-21i, 31i)
- Knowledge of Lathes & Mills
- Knowledge of fixture design, tooling application and set up Knowledge of inspection techniques
- Ability to understand process sheets
- Able to use measuring equipment (i.e., Calipers, micrometers, Drop indicators)
- Ability to work to fine tolerances
- Understanding of simple math
- Knowledge of QS/ISO 149649
- Knowledge of CMM & Zoller (tool & die)
- Basic blueprint knowledge
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to lift up to 25 Lbs.
