Salary: $18.08 Hourly Location : County Courthouse 180 Ottawa Avenue NW Grand Rapids Job Type: Full-time Job Number: 2404-294-0000 Department: Probate Court Opening Date: 04/19/2024 Closing Date: 4/26/2024 11:59 PM Eastern Job Responsibilities Duties will include receiving and examining documents for filing and docketing information in the court's case management system, preparing documents for scanning and imaging, assisting customers via phone, email and in person with questions, hearing dates and copy requests, reviewing files to ensure proper documentation has been received, assisting with genealogy projects, filing, preparing or submitting orders to the Michigan State Police to add or remove individuals from LEIN, performing clearance checks for proposed fiduciaries, analyzing and preparing reports, sending notices regarding deficiencies and suspending delinquent fiduciaries, utilizing and updating court spreadsheets, preparing orders and performing other duties as assigned. Requires skill in filing, maintaining office records and operating various office equipment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse populations are essential. Court or legal environment experience desirable. Probate experience desirable.
