Summary: The Machine Tool Electrician, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, is responsible for assembling machinery control panels, wiring machines and installing control components per documents and instructions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Install and assemble control panels (including, but not limited to, installing communication blocks, wiring ethernet, installing temporary power, bending and installing conduits, preparing tool with I/O block, DeviceNet and duct work).
- Pipe and wire machinery (including, but not limited to, wiring of machinery from drawing and bill of materials, wiring of panels, wiring auxiliary power, wiring robots, wiring of safety circuits).
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
- Keep updated on the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Effectively communicate between electricians, machine assembly and Production Manager to keep flow of project maintained.
- Other duties as assigned. Education/Skills/Experience
Required: - Two to five years' experience in wiring of machine tool fixtures and cell integration.
- Must be able to read prints, electrical schematics and layouts.
- Experience with layout of machine tooling from prints, test, troubleshoot and install of 24vdc, 120v and 480v systems.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must have own tools. Preferred:
- Degree in related field.
- Experience panel writing and troubleshooting. Physical Requirements:
