Pricing Analyst, Print - Staples is business to business. You're what binds us together. The Print Profitability & Pricing Analyst role is responsible for performing profitability analysis on prospective print programs and reviewing their profitability after they are won and implemented. - They will develop analytics to drive innovation in -pricing and margin for the print category. - The successful candidate will build capabilities for analyzing products and customer behavior, standardize the pricing methodology, and work adhoc analytics to support business decisions. - This person will need to effectively blend data capabilities with business/process knowledge. -This person will communicate insights/conclusions to other teams and leadership. - He/She will interact with other teams including sourcing and sales on a regular basis. This person will work effectively and comfortably as both a team and individual player and will have direct impact on revenue and bottom line. - What you'll be doing: - Implement cost/price changes
- Manage and maintain margin rates by product and selling system
- Blend data from different sources to produce analytics and actions
- Reliably produce accurate, high-quality reports
- Support Profitability Manager engagement activities
- Work with a wide array of structured and unstructured data sources
- Analyze price changes during quarterly reviews and audit supplier pricing files
- Profitability Analysis and Print Program Reviews
- Alteryx Workflows and Power BI Dashboards
- What you bring to the table: - Continually work to improve profitability -
- Develop reporting around profitability and pricing
- Centralize important information such as: cost and sell history, margin and gross profit for product categories
- Partnering closely with merchants and pricing team members
- Partner with external vendors to implement cost changes
- Partner with sourcing and sales teams to analyze print programs
- What's needed- Basic Qualifications: - Minimum 2 Years of experience in related operational or analytical role
- Advanced Excel
- Demonstrated SME in analysis and automation
- Working with large data sets in distributed systems such as AS400, Teradata, etc. -
- Demonstrated project coordination among various internal stakeholders and grade levels.
- Strong technical and decision making skills
- Proficient organizational skills
- What's needed- Preferred Qualifications: - Previous pricing experience
- Familiarity with dashboarding tools including Tableau, Power BI, etc.
