The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Suffolk University is recruiting a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor (non-tenure track (NTT) for a one-year position with the possibility of renewal. Teaching responsibilities will begin in the fall semester. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. sociology, criminology, criminal justice, public policy, public administration); preference will be given for candidates with experience teaching courses in sociology or criminal justice at the college/university level. Ability to teach courses in both our Master of Science in Crime and Justice Studies program and our undergraduate major programs in Sociology and Criminal Justice is required. Inclusive teaching practices and a commitment to supporting the success of students from diverse backgrounds are high priorities.
