A day in the life of this role: Outer Cape Health Services (OCHS) believes in the full integration of primary care and recovery services care for the best possible outcomes in overall patient health. The Manager of Recovery Services will ensure the high-quality provision of care for all OCHS patients across all demographics, establishing and implementing clinical standards of care, policies and procedures consistent with sound mental health and recovery practices. Summary of duties: Manage Recovery services Standards -- Establish and implement clinical standards of care as well as policies and procedures consistent with organizational goals and sound substance use disorder (SUD) treatment practices. -- Oversee development and updating of clinician manual; develop protocols and ensure compliance of recovery services staff with these policies and procedures. -- Establish and maintain an on-going program to orient, evaluate, and appraise new recovery services staff and clinicians. -- In accordance with regulations and requirements in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, must provide direct in person (preferably) supervision of all Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) and other non-independent recovery services clinicians hired at OCHS. This supervision includes but is not limited to evaluation of work, on-going feedback in the spirit of performance improvement, and review and sign-off of all patient notes in the EPIC system. -- Comply with and ensure all recovery services clinicians comply with the payor requirements for reimbursement. -- In collaboration with HR, responsible for recruiting and hiring of recovery services staff including arranging for appropriate interviews and reviewing references. -- Establish and maintain clinical education program by providing clinical discussion at meetings. -- Develop and oversee quality assurance programs in all recovery service areas of every OCHS Health Center; submit reports and recommendations to executive leadership. -- Maintain familiarity with mental health/moral and mental health/legal issues related to practice of mental health and recovery services and serve as resource to staff in these areas. -- Ensure that any recovery services research conducted at OCHS meets the highest standards of ethics and patient care -- Collaborate and partner with the Clinical Manager of Behavioral Health on mutual or intersecting projects and initiatives. -- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Directors on recovery services integration within primary care. Administrative Role -- Assume responsibility in collaboration with Operations Director and BH Clinical Manager, for OCHS and the development of new recovery services and programs. -- Maintain Bureau of Substance addition Services (BSAS) license, lead bi-annual license renewal application and inspections, and ensure compliance with requirements and regulations. -- Report regularly to senior leadership on activities of the Recovery Services staff, including performance, to ensure conformance with the mission, vision and goals of the organization -- Report to clinical staff on organizational developments, goals, vision -- Ensure the proper functioning of the clinical sites, striving for the highest degree of clinical care and patient satisfaction -- Monitor clinician compliance with electronic health record completion policies and documentation management guidelines. -- Monitor quality metrics and review clinical reports with staff. -- Assist in risk management programs; review all potential liability claims generated against health centers relating to recovery services -- Adhere to OCHS policies and procedures Clinical Leadership Responsibilities -- Provide and/or arrange for clinical supervision for new and pre-licensed therapists, interns and recovery staff, work on skills and provide oversight on a regular ongoing basis. Review clinical documentation and sign off on documentation for pre-licensed clinicians. -- Coordinate and supervise the activities of clinical team members engaged in clinical care for patients -- Ensure high quality clinical care for patients by reviewing and researching concerns or complaints and recommending corrective action as appropriate. -- Ensure that recovery services provided comply with clinical regulations published by BSAS (Bureau of Substance Abuse Services) and SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). -- Review specific cases, problems, and treatment interventions with staff members on an individual and group basis. Oversee and facilitate ongoing peer review. -- Lead and participate in quality initiatives related to the provision of recovery services. -- Offer clinical education in community forums around mental health and substance use prevention and treatment, including representing OCHS at public engagements, local committees, community advisory councils, etc. Work environment: -- The functions of this role are conducted in an office environment and clinical environment. Hours of Work -- This role is paid on salaried basis. -- The hours of work for this position are: Hybrid * Tues/Wed/Thursday onsite, Wellfleet - Wellness Center. What we need from you: -- LICSW, Masters' degree or Doctorate in social work or related field -- Current license with no past or present suspensions and/or probations -- Experience in recovery services practice -- 3 years' experience in a supervisory role -- Must have completed OSHA standard requirements training.
