- Have at least 5 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
- Have expertise as a programmer in systems or scientific programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Rust, Julia, etc.) with a desire to expand into new areas of coding languages and processes.
- Are proficient in standard software engineering practices (documenting, testing, CI/CD, logging, etc.).
- Have demonstrated experience guiding software architecture and making design decisions
- Familiarity with programming for and in a Linux environment.
- Have a background in fostering an environment in which team members feel comfortable to engage in respectful debate.
- Demonstrated the ability to contribute breadth and depth of expertise to teams while collaborating effectively with colleagues of varying experience levels different backgrounds.

- Are able to obtain a Final Secret level clearance.
