WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Manager for our Columbia, Maryland office. Be involved in projects with our Program Management/Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact:
Overview
The ideal candidate will be an engineer with at least 7-10 years of experience in water/wastewater project management, planning, design, and construction management. The selected candidate will have experience in water/wastewater utilities and facilities project management and excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
Job Responsibilities

• 
  Manage projects for the complete lifecycle, planning, design, and construction.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate Project designers and construction managers activities.
  
  
• 
  Manage capital improvement projects including project schedule, budget, and deliverables.
  
  
• 
  Permit coordination.
  
  
• 
  Design Reviews
  
  
• 
  Constructability Reviews
  
  
• 
  Provide technical presentations to project teams and other stakeholders.
  
  
• 
  Perform research and subject matter coordination to assist in development of CIP projects.
  
  
  Who You Are
  Minimum Requirements:
  
  
  
  • 
    Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or relevant field
    
    
  • 
    7-10 years water or wastewater design and construction experience
    
    
  • 
    Strong oral and written skills
    
    
  • 
    Familiarity with the practices and principles of Design and Construction
    
    
  • 
    Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
    
    
  • 
    Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    
    
    • 
      Experience with water/wastewater pipeline, treatment plant and pump stations projects.
      
      
    • 
      Experience in establishing workflows and business processes
      
      
    • 
      Data and information systems management experience
      
      
    • 
      Experience in a web-based document management system such as e-Builder, Unifier and CM-14
      
      
    • 
      Ability to support scheduling for a program of multiple projects, including monitoring costs.
      
      
    • 
      EIT with desire to achieve PE.
      
      
    • 
      Ability to lead and conduct large meetings and work in a client setting
