With a goal of becoming the most trusted name in premium proteins, we create products for consumers and for retail and foodservice customers around the globe, while changing the way animals are raised for food.SummaryThe graphic designer will be partnering with senior creatives and reporting to the art director to manage the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. The graphic designer will be responsible for both design and production of all creative materials, including visual aspects of websites, advertising, product packaging, exhibitions and more. This designer will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple design project deadlines. This designer will need to execute within brief and brand guidelines provided, working some from templates and some from scratch.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesStudy design briefs and determine requirements neededSchedule projects and define concept constraintsConceptualize visuals based on design briefPrepare rough drafts and present ideas to the art director, creative director or marketing teamDevelop illustrations, logos, web graphics and other designs using software or by handMust be able to read, understand and adhere to several brand guidelines and style guides and in turn use appropriate colors, typography and other design thematic elements in layouts for each design projectWork with copywriters and art director to produce final designTest graphics across various mediaMust be able to take constructive design criticism, positive and negative, and amend designs after feedbackEnsure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brandMinimum Education and ExperienceProven graphic designing experience 3+ years working in commercial graphics positionA strong portfolio showing a variety of graphic design, web, and/or illustration workFamiliarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)A keen eye for aesthetics and detailsExperience in the CPG industry is a plus, but not requiredExcellent communication skillsWebsite development or platform experience is a plus (Wordpress, CMS systems, Google SEO, etc.)Ability to work methodically and meet deadlinesDegree in Design, Fine Arts or related fieldEnvironmental Factors and Physical RequirementsPosition is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
