We are located on the picturesque shores of Casco Bay in Scarborough, and our team of 200 works to ensure that residents enjoy the retirement of a lifetime.This role serves as a per-diem Recreation Assistant working 8 hours per week, weekends preferred working with an interactive team of professionals that focus on resident center care in Assisted Living and our Health Center.A friendly and professional demeanor, along with a highly organized approach to managing workflow and time are must-haves for this position. Recreational Assistants are responsible for reviewing resident activity needs and planning total recreation program based on individual needs and resident interest.Come join our team and add to the fun! We look forward to hearing from you!This is a per-diem, 8-hour position with weekends included.Essential Job DutiesEscorts residents to/from scheduled activities.Assists in coordinating, documenting, and providing recreation activities, current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, outing trips, special events, and one-on-one visits as needed.Accompanies residents on trips as assigned.Communicates with other Piper shores staff regarding resident concerns, problems, or incidents immediately.QUALIFICATIONS:Experience working in a long-term care facility activities program preferred.Ability to work well with others in setting up events and coordinating activities with other departments.
