• We encourage a human centered culture that honors the unique potential and dignity of every person.POSITION SUMMARY:-- The Processing Technician ensures safe, effective treatment and handling of containerized wastes by properly receiving, screening, unloading, treating and tracking incoming waste streams and outgoing residuals.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:--
  • Reviews, signs, and processes incoming manifests, noting any discrepancies.
  • Directs off-loading operations for receipt of primarily non bulk containers into the facility's storage systems for process and handling.
  • Uses handheld bar code scanner as the primary internal recordkeeping system to ensure the safe, effective handling and inventory of containerized wastes.
  • Forklift operations to facilitate the handling of all non-bulk containerized wastes.
  • Collects and analyzes waste samples.
  • Consolidates like-wastes wherever possible in order to improve economic outcomes.
  • Store waste containers properly in all designated plant storage areas.
  • Assists in the generation of internal bar code labels, and accurately places them on all containers as they are received.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:--
    • Ability to use light equipment, such as forklift and pallet-jack.
    • Basic knowledge of computer operations is needed to properly operate handheld scanners.
    • Skilled using hand and shop tools.--
    • Demonstrates, accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. ----
