We are looking for a NestJS developer with experience implementing backend application APIs and services for a new SaaS product using AI for application automation. Basic product functionality is in place, but there are plenty of opportunities to define and build new services as well as re-architect existing ones.100% Remote. One year contract position with potential for permanent position and equity stake. Top rate for highly qualified candidates. No phone calls and no corp-to-corp please.ResponsibilitiesWork as part of a small (3 person) tiger team to develop and productize a brand-new SaaS productDefine and develop backend functionality in TypeScript on Nest.js and help integrate React/MaterialUI front-end components to create new product featuresContribute to the overall product architecture and feature roadmap and lead development of new componentsWork collaboratively in a mature and effective agile environmentMaintain all artifacts in GithubQualifications - RequiredBachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, or related field1+ years of experience implementing backend services using TypeScript on Nest.js on a project that incorporated code reviews or other feedback/training processes; senior devs are also encouraged to applyProficiency with core web technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON/XML) and DOM processingGood understanding of the tools and techniques for implementing RESTful APIsQualifications - Highly DesiredExpertise in one or more core functional areas of the product which includes domain-specific language design and implementation (using Ohm.js), web page/DOM parsing and processing, web component classification using ML and vision methods, natural language processing, data analysis, and dashboard implementationExperience with robotic process automation (RPA) or test automation using WebDriver, Selenium, Playwright, Puppeteer, or similarExperience with MaterialUI componentsFamiliarity with software architecture and design patterns such as domain driven design, onion architecture, and even-driven architectureKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesGood verbal and written communication skills (within dev team with no direct client communications required)Strong problem-solving skillsStrong work ethic and commitment to qualityCompensation$50-$80/hr depending on experience.OtherLocation: RemoteHours: Full-Time preferredType: One-year contract position with potential for a permanent position and equity stakeAbout BUSINESS PERFORMANCE SYSTEMSBusiness Performance Systems is a successful, well-established small business composed of skilled consultants supporting high-priority government projects.
