YOUR ROLE - The Shift Manager employs leadership skills, technical skills, and manufacturing experience to ensure increased associate productivity, maximize equipment functionality, and proactively manage the daily operational activities in the assigned area of responsibility / shift in order to meet or exceed departmental Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost Goals. This is a 12 hour NIGHT SHIFT position - 5:45pm-6am, rotating days (including weekends and some holidays).
- Lead a team of up to 30 employees, including Leads
- Be the first point of contact for direct reports for timekeeping, policies, performance, scheduling & other employment-related issues
- Collaborate with others to minimize production interruptions and downtime
- Identify and implement continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities through 5s, Lean manufacturing and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodologies
- Manage and participate in MOC (management of change) process, includes interfacing with vendors
