This candidate will manage the mold development, procurement and validation and ensure that we are taking advantage of the best and most innovative technologies available to design, produce and maintain molds. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Primary function is leading the mold development and mold maintenance using cross functional initiatives within IWT Engineering, Manufacturing, and outside vendors to construct high performance molds for all current and future product lines.
- Research technologies for enhanced mold repair, maintenance and construction of new and existing molds and ensure improved performance.
- Directly responsible for troubleshooting mold problems.
- Collaborate with engineering to assure new and existing product and tool designs are moldable and suggest design changes or alternative processes.
- Proactively seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement by researching new technologies for improvements to product, molds, materials, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with vendors to bring alternative methods, materials, and equipment to manufacturing to improve molds and mold maintenance.
