An established orthopedic practice in Iowa City is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Work alongside a team of board certified Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Candidates with previous surgical experience as well as recent graduates are welcome to apply.*Responsibilities:** Full-time permanent position - hand, wrist, foot, ankle, hip, knee, shoulder, and spine* Mix of clinic and OR (1 day clinic, 4 days OR)* Shared call is 1:7 weekends* Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments* Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients* Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed*Qualifications:** Iowa State License* Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail* Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively* Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems*Benefits:** Competitive base salary* Year end bonus* Health insurance* PTO* CME allowanceNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
