The candidate will manage a team of Financial Analysts responsible for expense budgets. This would include budgets for all functional areas within NSS (operations, engineering, program management, etc). The role also has cognizance of government compliance and is a liaison to DCMA and DCAA. The candidate will be expected to provide leadership, expertise, and guidance to functional managers, finance leadership, and more junior members of the Finance team.This role will be performed in a hybrid work format, with the individual splitting their time between the Cedar Rapids, IA facility, and remotely. - Developing creative solutions to problems and driving change
- Developing financial forecasts and providing variance explanations.
- Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements
- Reporting financials to management and serving as an expert for the function
- Seeking out projects to continually improve processesRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline plus 8 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with Government accounting practices
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, in particular, Excel and Power Point
- Effective communications skills
- Ability to work with diverse work teams
- Ability to communicate and present financial data to various functions and varying levels of Management
- Experience with Financial Planning and ForecastingPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
