Job Title - Ultrasound Technologist General - EveningsDuration: 13 WeeksLocation: Waterloo, IAShift Notes: Mon-Fri: 12:30p - 9p, 40 hrs/weekWeekend Requirements: Call coverage as needed: 6:30p - 6aOn Call Requirements: YesPay Rate: $68.00 73.00/hour.Weekly Gross: $2700 - $2900LN_ETUnit need:We would prefer the applicants to be registered and/or trained in General, OB/GYN, and Vascular. More specifically, abdomen, small parts, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester OB (non-high risk) for dating, measurements, BPPs, and fetal anatomy scans, transabdominal and transvaginal gynecologic imaging, upper and lower venous doppler, lower arterial doppler, ABIs, Aorta duplex, Carotid arterial doppler, and hepatic and renal doppler imaging exams.Experience in assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures is preferred, but not required.Job Description:Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients, answering their questions, and providing support.Spreading the ultrasound gel on the surface of patients' bodies over the internal area to be imaged.Programming and adjusting the scanner for the specific procedure and ensuring the transducer captures images from every angle or section as needed.Deciding which still images, or sonograms, to capture and present to the Physician for diagnostic purposes.Evaluating the images for quality and interpreting the images to assist the Physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases.Presenting the images and your preliminary findings to the Physicians.Maintaining patients' records and medical notes on the ultrasound procedure they have undergone.Maintaining the ultrasound equipment and sterilizing the procedure rooms.Requirements:MUST be registered or trained in: General, OB/GYN & VascularTravel experience encouraged.Experience assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis & thoracentesis procedures strongly encouraged.ARDMSBLS (AHA)by Jobble More...
