We're proud of our more than 80-year commitment to protecting the livelihoods and futures of our client/members and creating an atmosphere where our employees thrive.What You'll Do: As a Sr Life Claims Specialist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and investigating life insurance policies that fall under contestability as well as the assessment of complex claims. You will also: - Analyze Death, Chronic Illness and Waiver of Premium claims and establish the basis for payment, denial, or need for additional information.
- Communicate final deposition of claims to insured, agents, beneficiaries, and other appropriate parties.
- Analyze all contestable death claims, order additional information, analyze additional information, approve or deny final payment of the claim.
- Collaborate with the Director Life & Annuity claims to create and implement policies & procedures.
- Assist internal auditors, external auditors, and reinsurance auditors with all requested information as needed.
- Ensure state escheatment rules are followed and unclaimed death funds are handled according to state requirements.What It Takes to Join Our Team:
