Being a trusted provider of commercial aircraft solutions, the CAS business also produces and develops highly reliable, adaptable, and scalable avionics solutions for the leading manufacturers of commercial aircraft and their propulsion systems. The Product Test Engineers are a critical piece to our business and play a vital part of instilling our company's value of maintaining a lean culture by constantly looking for continuous improvement opportunities.About the Opportunity:In this Electrical Engineer, Product Test position supporting our OEM team, you will make impacts in the following ways; - Troubleshooting customer product at both a unit level and Circuit Card Assembly level. When troubleshooting circuit card assemblies, our test engineer is looking at failed circuits, isolating the fault down to a component level, then dispositioning the repair procedures.
- Work with analog and/or digital electronics and embedded systems.
- Use standard electrical lab and test equipment. Familiarity with more advanced troubleshoot tools is a plus.
- Support our manufacturing floor as needed to ensure that product continues to move through the process and play a vital part of instilling our company's value of maintaining a lean culture. This includes constantly looking for continuous improvement opportunities.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Associate's degree in EET, ECE, ECET or equivalent technical degree program, and 2 or more years of applicable work experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Electronics troubleshooting and instrument familiarity (analog, digital, power, communications).
- Capable of using standard electrical lab and test equipment to be successful with troubleshooting product failures down to a component level.
- Demonstrated ability in isolating electrical failures to root cause.
- Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and critical thinking.
- Proficient at interpreting engineering documentation including but not limited to schematics, assembly drawings, and component data sheets
- Ability to interpret and apply specifications, standards, and customer requirements.Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple activities in a cross-functional team environment
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Experience with Microsoft Office products
