Position Type: Child Nutrition Services/CHILD NUTRITION WORKER Date Posted: 8/15/2023 Location: Perry Township Education Center Student Child Nutrition Worker Position Purpose Perform assigned job responsibilities in the kitchen, including food preparation, cashiering, serving, record keeping, cleaning and working in the dish room. In addition, perform those assigned tasks with a positive and productive attitude that creates a safe environment for both students and staff. Essential Functions - Follow procedures and instructions as assigned.
- Assist in the preparation and serving of hot and cold food to students and staff, such as assembling various food items and ingredients for recipes, heating foods to proper temperatures, and packaging and serving food items according to established procedures and portion control standards.
- Operate standard food service equipment such as warmers, microwaves, ovens, combis, steamers and dish machines.
- Maintain food service facilities, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition; such as sweeping and mopping floors, washing trays, and other serving equipment.
- Assist in record keeping, i.e. completing production and meal quantity records.
- Assist with inventory.
- Perform routine cashiering duties as assigned.

N/A Travel Requirements Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. Pay Rate $14.00 per hour. Work Schedule As needed; less than 20 hours per week Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of basic culinary and sanitation skills.
