PDS Defense, Incis seeking a Paint Shop Operator in Indianapolis, IN.Job Responsibilities: Performs the following duties, and other required activities as assignedMust demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirementsMay perform as a member or leader of a functional and/or cross- functional teamInitiates proper procedures in coating materials to various surfaces by brushing, rolling and sprayingTakes measures to ensure item is properly coated and meets surface protection requirements.May be required to use spray gun in spray boothPerforms any combination of following tasks to repair, modify, fabricate and install a variety of plastic parts that must meet strict mechanical and electrical specificationsAssignments involve potting, impregnation, stamping and encapsulation of various electronic assemblies and the preparation of metal and printed wiring assemblies for organic coating as well as silk screening of partsMarks identifying information on material and assembles materials in kitsRequires knowledge of proper surface preparation methods and coating techniquesMust be able to successfully follow verbal and written specificationsMust be able to lift and operate the use of a hoist for lifting production unitsMust be able to read and interpret prints, drawings, process routings, process descriptions, and specificationsRequires bending, reaching and lifting of objects within EHSS guidelines.Ability to obtain a secret security clearance is requiredBasic Hiring Criteria:High School Diploma or equivalent.
