The award-winning facility provides clinical and commercial bulk drug substance and drug product manufacturing, including liquid and lyophilized vials, and prefilled syringes, along with an array of support services.The Senior Cost Accountant will bring their skills and experience, playing an instrumental role, to help senior leaders make solid business decisions.-- In addition to the daily analysis and reporting aspects, the successful candidate will experience a dynamic work environment that supports continued growth and a robust sharing of ideas.-- This is a fulltime role working days; Monday - Friday. Catalent is committed to a Patient First culture through excellence in quality and compliance, and to the safety of every patient, consumer and Catalent employee.The Role - Assist in the daily analysis of manufacturing variances. Follow up with operations to take corrective actions and make necessary financial adjustments
- Review work orders with operations, ensuring they're closed timely and related costs are captured correctly
- Review new item cost and roll new standard costs when it's needed
- Complete assigned manufacturing journal entries including but not limited to DP& DS COS accrual, absorption accrual & variance adjustments
- Participate in annual standard cost review and update
- Prepare and submit assigned inventory reconciliations including but not limited to raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Assist in preparing, analyzing, and coordinating the annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Support the finance team in establishing sound inventory policies, procedures, and financial systems to ensure the quality and integrity of inventories
- Assist in physical inventories and help review cycle counts to ensure proper internal controls are followed
- Any other ad hoc projects assigned by Finance Directors
- Other duties as assignedThe Candidate
- BS/BA in Finance or Accounting required
- Manufacturing experience required
- Higher degree and/or CMA preferred
- 5-7 years of cost accounting experience
- Sound knowledge of US GAAP and cost accounting principles
- Strong mathematical, accounting, finance, and analytical skills
- JDE, OneStream, Excel (especially pivot tables and VLOOKUP), Word, PowerPoint and Business Objects experience desiredWhy You Should Join Catalent
