Department UNIVERSITY DIVISION (BL-UDIV-IUBLA) Department Information The University Division is a unit of the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education on the Bloomington campus of Indiana University. Job Summary Department-Specific Responsibilities - Assists with New Student Orientation (June 3 - July 24, August 15, and August 20, 2024).
- Greets students.
- Alerts advising to a student's arrival using an electronic check-in system.
- Directs students to the appropriate advising and registration centers on multiple floors of the Herman B. Wells Library.
- Directs non-students to appropriate waiting areas in the Herman B. Wells Library.
- Guides students to their next step in the Orientation process.
- Performs a variety of other clerical duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED) SKILLS Required
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Polite, respectful, friendly, and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to work well with diverse clientele
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a busy interactive environment with frequent interruptions
