As the Failure Analysis Engineer you will be responsible for designing equipment, analyzing modifications, managing projects and producing documentation. What you'll do on a typical day: - Evaluate and document existing processes by performing failure analysis and testing, including regression testing and system testing
- Collaborate with appropriate engineers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to drive resolution to the identified failure causes
- Identify and drive implementation of new process & tools required to improve quality and processing speed
- Provide support to operations and engineering teams, including troubleshooting and resolving issues and ensuring changes are adequately tested
- Recommend modifications following prototype test results; consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints
- Develop detailed test documentation, check all engineering documentation for accuracy, quality and completenessWhat you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
- 1 year of experience in testing, failure analysis and automation
- Solid knowledge of problem solving and root cause analysis methodologies, concepts, processes, and documentation It'd be great if you also have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
- 3 years of experience in testing, failure analysis and automation
- Experience analyzing and solving problems with electrical, mechanical and pneumatic devices
