The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for the physicians practice and will provide administrative support across the organization.PRIMARY DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:Attend to patients at front desk.Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and triaging them appropriatelyAnswers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patient's arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staffRegisters new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial informationScheduling appointments in a professional and timely mannerMaintain security by following procedures and controlling access Update appointment calendars and schedule meetings/appointmentsPerform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing etc.Participate in individual & group projects as directed by management Other duties, as assignedCUSTOMER SERVICE:Responsible for supporting the values and customer service standards of KCC.Accountable for outstanding customer service to all staff, clients and vendorsDevelops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.
