General information All posting locations: Woodstock, Illinois, United States of America Job Function: 06 - Manufacturing Date Published: 02-May-2024 Ref #: R-82193 Description & Requirements Job Summary: Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner. Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments. Inspects work performed by team members. Tracks and logs workers time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes. This employee will coach and develop the maintenance capability of teams by serving as a technical coach and resource, spends time on the floor gathering information on breakdowns, defects, and work order completion over the past 24 hours. Works with COE to continuously improve the CBM routes and action plans and improve the content and standardization of Bill of Material (BOM). Works with the COE to continuously improve PM work instructions, task list, checklist, maintenance planning, scheduling and kitting, strategies, and orders parts as necessary to support maintenance activities. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential Functions & Responsibilities: - Supports / Leads deployment, adherence, and continuous improvement of the KHMS Management system for the Maintenance and Engineering Pilar on the plant floor.
- Is a Leader on the shop floor championing the Kraft Heinz Golden Safety Rules.
- Perform all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and preventative types of maintenance on various high-speed and packaging machinery.
- Troubleshooting.
- High voltage system basics and perform wiring up to 480 volts.
- Prioritize Maintenance activities with the weekly schedule.
- Coaching and qualifying aspects of AM and PM activities with employees within the process.
- Ensure the quality of our products and workplace by following all procedures and guidelines.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule to work with employees from all shifts as required.
- Works overtime as necessary.
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
- Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians.
- Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs, or maintenance (electricians, welders etc.).
- Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.).
- Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
- Participate in coordination of projects (e.g., overhauls).
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Expected Experience & Required Skills: - Operate Forklift, Scissor Lift, and JLG.
- Certified in LOTO.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Proficiency's with using CMMS system - Preferably SAP PM.
Work Environment & Schedule: This position is considered a Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment. Overtime and weekend work required as dictated by business needs. You may be required to switch schedule or shifts as the need arises. Must wear following PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): bump cap/hard hat, safety glasses, slip resistant shoes, ear plugs. Physical Requirements: - Frequent standing & walking required.
- Prolonged periods working on feet and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
