The Director of Operations will manage multiple manufacturing facilities and oversee departments like: Engineering, Production, EHS, Maintenance, and more. This individual will also sit on the executive board of the company, being a key member of strategic decisions.Client DetailsOur client is a leading manufacturer of custom motion control products that are used in a variety of industrial applications and markets (automation, government, automotive, ect...). With multiple facilities in the Midwest and doing over $50M in sales, our client is moving into the next phase of their current growth model and the Director of Operations will be a key driver in this part; currently overseeing 100 employees, this team will grow by 10-15% over the next 2 years.Description - Ensure the safety and well being of others and provide a safe work environment through the continuous improvement of safety and environmental practices.
- Drive an unwavering commitment to quality ensuring process adherence, data integrity, and advancement of the quality system.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing team through the selection, development, motivation, and leadership of manufacturing team members.
- Utilize formalized methodologies to solve problems, implement recurrence prevention countermeasures, and monitor solutions for effectiveness.
- Lead the team to achieve 100% schedule accomplishment, driving a sense of urgency through operations, and continually developing a disciplined management system to achieve sustained results.
- Create a culture within the facility that has an intolerance for the current condition and continually strives for improvement.
- Advance the business, drive overall performance improvements, and reduce costs through the development and implementation of manufacturing strategies and the elimination of waste throughout operations.ProfileA successful candidate:
- Bachelors degree
- 10+ years in manufacturing management/leadership - management of a variety of departments needed
- Extensive background implementing continuous improvements to production, engineering, operations (i.e. Kaizen events, standardized documentation, process controls)
- Experience in a CNC machining or metals manufacturing environment
- ABILITY TO TRAVEL UP TO 25% OF THE TIME (LOCAL MIDWEST)Nice to Haves:
