DescriptionWhat You'll Do As a REMPREX Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the primary point of contact for incoming and outgoing drivers at REMPREX intermodal facilities. You will provide exceptional customer service via our innovative technology tools including high-definition images, live video, and two-way communication. You will be stationed in a highly technologically advanced environment that serves as the premier hub for North America intermodal transportation, equipped with 36 monitors displaying live video feeds. Customer Service Representatives make timely decisions to assist with on-site failures to automatic systems to ensure efficiency and safety for the customers we serve. Responsibilities - Inspect shipping containers using high-definition images to identify damage, such as holes in equipment, flat tires, etc.
- Assist automated machine learning systems by validating shipping container markings
- Confirm the presence and compliance of hazardous labels on shipping containers
- Confirm the presence of trailers hooked up to a truck
- Validate driver's license registration using REMPREX proprietary systems
- Provide virtual face-to-face assistance for drivers and other customers at the terminal
- Answer phone calls from drivers, dispatchers, and on-site personnel in order to assist with the gating process; escalate calls as needed
- Perform transactional research using various proprietary systems to resolve issues for drivers in real-time
- Provide periodic remote surveillance and monitoring of automotive and intermodal yards
What You'll Need Required - At least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Unwavering attention to detail when performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to problem solve and ask thoughtful questions to create solutions
- Active-listening skills with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
- High comfort level with virtual and phone communication as primary mediums
- Prior computer and technology aptitude and eagerness to grow that skillset
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work at least one weekend shift per-week (Saturday or Sunday)
Preferred - Associate degree in a related field
- Previous customer service or call center experience
- A strong commitment to embrace innovation, technology, and continued growth
- Bilingual (Spanish/Polish/Russian)
Work EnvironmentThe Network Gate Operator works in an office environment in our Lisle, IL headquarters, working closely and communicating with others. The position requires long periods of sitting and viewing computer screens. Occasional bending, reaching, standing, walking, and carrying can occur. HoursREMPREX operations are 24/7/365.
