Working at the foundry is hard work that demands focus and safety, quality, and commitment to helping our customers build a better world.With over 800 employees at the foundry, we are looking for someone who can support process development projects for the continuous improvement of the safety, quality, velocity and cost of manufacturing.Responsibilities - Providing technical expertise and guidance in major manufacturing projects, working with internal/external suppliers to support/improve manufacturing productivity and cost effectiveness.
- Implementing major systems and the coordination of those systems with the total plant.
- Providing guidance to manufacturing engineers and operators in order to develop high quality products and processes.Experience Requirement:
- Experience in managing capital projects including concept development, project funding and execution of large-scale capital projects.Top Candidates May Have:
- Manufacturing experience related to manufacturing of cast materials, machining, and process control documentation.Skill Descriptors Project Management: Level Basic Understanding:Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.Manufacturing Process Design and Development: Level Basic Understanding:Knowledge of how to develop or design a manufacturing process; ability to establish and determine which processes and parameters should be opted to improve functionality and costs.Capacity Planning & Management - MFG: Level Working Knowledge:Knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service.Lean Manufacturing: Level Working Knowledge:Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.Problem Solving: Level Working Knowledge:Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.Additional Information:
