REGISTERED NURSE (RN) JOB SUMMARY - Responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and resources
- Takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a nursing care plan provided by the nursing team.
- Provides direct nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations
- Provides services to one or more age populations, including adolescent through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served
- Must have full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital
- Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) and safety plan at Blessing Hospital.
Gen Med/Hospitalist/ODU Details - This unit is a very fast-paced environment seeing a wide range of patients, such as chest pain with possible interventional needs, outpatient surgical procedures requiring minimal post-operative monitoring, respiratory illnesses with low oxygen demand needs for general medicine patients.
- The medical management of observations is that all tests and procedures are completed within 24 hours, which is what creates such a fast-paced environment.
- All patients are ambulatory and independent or need minimal assistance.
