Position Title:---------------------- Corporate Accounting Manager--Hiring Manager: -------------- Senior Director, Global Controllership & Reporting--Location: -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Hybrid/Office (Office location will be in Alsip, IL)--Summary: --The position is part of the Corporate Accounting team. This position will oversee the day to day accounting of the corporate companies, as well as responsibility for the budget and forecast.--Essential Duties & Responsibilities:--Manages accounting functions for multiple entities including general ledger and ensuring accuracy of accounts payable and accrualsOwns balance sheet accuracy for multiple entitiesOverseas monthly and annual close processes and reportingDevelops, directs, and mentors accounting staff and ensures accuracy of work performed by global accounting teamsEstablishes and maintains accounting policies and controlsReviews work of corporate staff accountant, including daily cash reconciliation, journal entries for month-end close, and account reconciliations, with proposals for any necessary adjustmentsReviews/records foreign intercompany chargeouts and chargebacksReviews travel and expensesPrepares monthly reports, such as company agings and variance analysisAssists with annual budget preparation and quarterly forecastingReviews monthly purchasing card (p-card) auditManages global lease accountingOther projects/tasks as needed--Qualifications:--Bachelor's degree in accounting from a major college or university with 7+ years related experience, manufacturing experience a plusExperience managing accounting staff requiredSolid computer skills with Microsoft Office required, especially Excel and WordExperience with Microsoft Dynamics and BPC software a plusAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situationsStrong planning and organization skillsAbility to multi-task paired with superior time management skillsExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and WordStrong oral and written communication skillsAttention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environmentLI#DNI
