Our team of talented people are dedicated to our shared mission: to provide solutions that help people design and build safer, stronger structures.Learn about our company culture directly from our team.YOUAs a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for working with a team of maintenance professionals that performs the maintenance of facilities, machines, and equipment within the plant.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)Planning and prioritizing department work (50%): - Support Plant maintenance and facilities of operations.
- Promotes a safety-first environment by following and enforcing all safety rules throughout the facility.
- Ensures completion of daily tasks and work orders for all maintenance, repairs, and modifications to all equipment and facilities.
- Assists with developing and maintaining preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Support projects and work orders; oversee all work or services performed by outside contractors and vendor technicians.
- Support the inventory of purchased parts.
- Maintains technical documentation library and development of maintenance requirements for new equipment: manages the use of the maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Manage spare parts to determine spare parts requirements and order quantities based on lessons learned through PM activities and budget.
- Ability to maneuver in computer and other technology devices for data collection in CMMS.
- Interpret a variety of data and make a clear and sound decision on best practices to keep production on track.
- Size circuits (Wire, Disconnect, Run Conduit, etc.) for repair, re-route, or new installations.Projects (25%):
- Assist with project commissioning of new equipment or facility expansion/improvements.
- Maintains positive vendor/contractor relations for equipment and services as required.
- Proactively ensure contractors are effectively inducted and adhering to internal and external compliance requirements.Provide support to the maintenance teams on a regular basis in order to ensure high efficiency of work (25%).
- Provide mentoring to staff to help achieve department and individual goals and improve performance.
- Promote the maintenance team to build team capability and improve performance.
- Actively monitor and assists in the completion of maintenance work.
- Identifies best practices to reduce equipment downtime, eliminate recurring equipment issues, and improve efficiency
- Assists with interviewing potential maintenance department team members.DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEIf you can do everything listed above, you have what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:
- Technician Certification, Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent OJT (Required)
- Able to interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and CMMS Applications. (Required)
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems in an industrial environment (Required)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.WORK ENVIRONMENTRegularly works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level is loud.
