Purpose of Position:Maintain the cleanliness of the facility and ensure processing and storage areas are cleaned and sanitized on proper schedule.Accountabilities:Implement and follow Sanitation SOPs (SSOP).Manage the location's sanitization supplies and chemical usage.Manage and supervise the location's sanitation crew.Maintain and update sanitation manual based on new corporate guidelines and statutory regulations.Supervise the location's chemical safety / right to know program.Supervise the location's sanitation program requirements.Handle the proper management and employee training for GMP's, procedures and personnel safety.Develop relationship with chemical supplier and ensure proper chemicals are being used.Interface with the Operations Manager and/or Maintenance Manager for Quality Assurance issues and the established standard operating procedures, including preventative maintenance programs.Maintain open communication with all Managers to ensure Del Monte's quality standards are maintained at all times.Responsible for following, promoting, and enforcing food safety practices and food defense within the facility.Ensures HACCP, FSMA, federal, local, and company rules and regulations are adhered to throughout the facility.
Minimum Skills Required:High School diploma3-5 years previous work experience in a similar positionExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skillsGood organization, and analytical skills Ability to work in cold environment.
Ability to prepare / measure/ audit chemicals.
Trainable on forklift drivingTraining on sanitation procedures.
Trained on chemical handling and crew supervisionAbility to work as a team playerAble to lead a group and facilitate training Innovation: ability to use creativity and judgment to resolve problems Strong leadership capabilitiesKnowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook, etcPreferred:A bachelor's degree in Business or similar fieldDeep knowledge of the Sanitation or Manufacturing Industry with corresponding certifications. HACCP certified is preferred.
