Supported by our modern, state-of-the-art facility, we offer a full in-house laboratory, ultrasonography, CT, MRI, and electrochemotherapy.At VERC, our mission is to provide the highest standard of emergency and specialty medicine, offering the most comprehensive and progressive patient care in the Hawaiian Islands.Responsibilities:--Provide extensive client education on Internal Medicine issues including but not limited to disease processes, medication, and triaging phone callsObtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspiratesUtilizing--different modalities of imaging for patient assessment including radiograph, ultrasound, endoscopy and CT scanExecuting, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic eventsProvide comfort and nursing care for all patientsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above listed responsibilities satisfactory.--The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.--Skills and Experience:General nursing care and treatment of patientsAdministering and monitoring anesthesiaAssisting the veterinarian in proceduresAdmitting and discharging patientsClient communication and educationEducational Requirements:High School education or equivalentCertification or licensing as a veterinary technician preferredCompetencies:Self-Motivator: Ability to work efficiently and effectively, proactive with approachCommunicator:--Successful communication is essential with all clients and stakeholders, considers and responds appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of different people in different situationsTechnical Credibility: Understands and appropriately applies procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise.
