JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary of Position:

Hyundai-Transys is seeking a Maintenance Technicians to join our team at our new facility. Your primary responsibility will be the installation and maintenance of equipment crucial to the facility's operations. You will apply both electrical and mechanical related knowledge to test, diagnose, maintain, repair and modify developmental or operational machinery and control equipment and circuitry in facility. Work requires an in-depth knowledge of various trades. Performs a wide variety of electrical and electronic maintenance and mechanical service work on sophisticated electronic equipment, machines and/or controls. Diagnoses and remedies troubles, repairs and replaces equipment. Installs, maintains, and/or repairs equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the efficient functioning of all equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Safely and efficiently install a variety of equipment required for the facility's operations.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely and accurate installation of equipment according to specifications.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on installed equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and address any issues or malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, implementing effective solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Utilize knowledge in PLC programming (Siemens or A/B) to address technical issues and optimize equipment performance.
  • Experienced with AC/DC drive motor wiring, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Possess journeyman experience in the electrical and mechanical maintenance fields.
  • Mandatory experience in mechanical installation and maintenance work on plant systems and equipment.
  • Basic skill level in TIG welding, including Aluminum.
  • Read blueprints, basic pneumatic schematics, mechanical and electrical diagrams.
  • Participate in the installation, maintenance, and programming of robotic systems used in the facility.
  • Collaborate with robotics engineers to optimize robotic performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to supervisors regarding equipment status and performance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all maintenance and installation activities.
  • Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and project teams to achieve project goals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and provide support as needed. Qualifications:
    • Experience in the electrical and/or mechanical maintenance field
    • Experience in electrical installation and maintenance work on plant electrical systems and equipment
    • Experience in mechanical installation and maintenance work on plant systems and equipment
    • Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics Education:
      • Degree in related technical field is a plus, but not required. Skills and Knowledge:
        • Previous experience in equipment installation and maintenance.
        • Knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens or A/B) is a plus.

                  • May be required to wear safety Personal Protective Equipment for eyes, face, head, feet, hearing, hands and arms.
                  • Be willing to travel for training if required (in-state)
                  • Ability to work extended hours, overtime and/or weekends as required

                    The employee generally works in warehouse, manufacturing, and indoor office environments but occasionally works outside, in all types of weather and on uneven terrain.
