Medical Records Coordinator role in the Norcross, GA area with an exceptional company. Under the direction of Quality Leadership, the Donor Records Coordinator is charged with maintaining the donor records storage areas for the organ records. Responsible for all aspects of the donor records area, including record assembly, filing, scanning, scan verification, and record retention and storage. What Matters Most: This is a full-time, on-site contract position with a Temp-to-perm possibility of hire, in a collaborative and supportive environment. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with a one-hour lunch. The pay is $18 - $22 an hour based upon experience plus benefits and opportunity for growth. Your New Role: The Records Coordinator will be responsible for: Completing chart assembly including initial scanning upon receipt of records Creating tasks and timelines for chart completion requirements based on policy and protocol requirements Identifying critical missing documentation upon assembly as a part of the quality review process and escalating immediately according to protocols and/or guidelines. Completing post-quality review scanning of donor records as required by prescribed timelines Primary responsibility to complete quality assurance verification post scanning of donor records as a part of the quality process Completing historical records scanning following policy based on thresholds established by Quality Leadership Responsible for filing and scanning documents received post-record closure consistent with existing protocols and timelines Maintaining records and paper charts. Preparing records for off-site storage including logging, packaging, labeling, and verification of requirements before shipping Maintaining the off-site storage log of donor records with quality leadership Prepping records for legal requests according to existing protocols Performing functions as a member of the quality team as required to both support and provide backup to quality processes Responsible for participating in quality assessment performance improvement (QAPI) activities for the OPO as outlined in the OPO Quality Assessment Performance Improvement Plan Other duties as assigned by the supervisor Your Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum one year of relevant job experience Ability to interpret policies and procedures related to medical records and to apply them in specific situations Requires ability to work with confidential work products to protect the integrity of medical records. Requires close attention to detail and accuracy Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are needed Ability to prioritize daily work schedule Working knowledge of computer medical records system Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Demonstrated physical ability to lift, carry and/or move equipment and supplies of varying weight up to 25 pounds Take the leap towards professional fulfillment and grow your career as a Records Coordinator at this firm.
