JOB SUMMARYThe duties of this position include but are not limited to, examining and treating diseases and injuries of teeth and gums. Performs preventative and comprehensive dentistry and educates the patient in proper tooth and periodontal care. Recommends orthodontics or oral surgery to correct any malformations.PRIMARY FUNCTIONSExamine PatientsRecord HistoryAdhere to proper charting protocolsOrder or execute radiographs as neededEvaluate radiographs, diagnose, and compose a treatment planPrescribe treatment and medications as neededRefer to a specialist as requiredPerform comprehensive dental treatmentOther responsibilities as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEDoctoral degree, D.D.
