Job Summary Loads bulk and finished product into trucks and rail cars to meet shipping schedules and quality standards. Job Responsibilities - Load rail cars and trucks with bulk finished product by operating scale room loading system
- Operate computerized shipping dispatch program to collect shipping data for accounts, billing and inventory reports
- Operate trackmobile to move rail cars into loading position
- Inspect and close rail cars to ensure the equipment is in proper working order
- Take silo measurements and samples
- Clean equipment and work area according to department housekeeping standards
- Conduct inventory of rail cars
- Conduct preventative maintenance on load-out equipment according to department procedures
- Communicate with customers, company distribution office, common carriers, and railroad personnel to confirm shipping schedules and miscellaneous shipping
- Performs any other duties as assigned by a supervisor
Qualifications - High School diploma or G.E.D required.
- Must possess a current and valid drivers license
- Must be bondable
- Must successfully meet and maintain background requirements to comply with US Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearm and Explosives licensing requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Basic data entry skills
- Knowledge of air slides, pneumatic actuators, gates and valves, and dust collectors
- Basic reading, writing and math skills
- Effective verbal communication skills
Working Conditions - Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
- Must wear protective equipment while at the location.
